my funning boy

Today My 23 month old "decided" He would not take a nap. Well, let me rephrase that. He took a 5 minute nap in the car.

When we got home I put him in bed, as it was nap time. I thought He had fallen right back to sleep. Well I was wrong. I heard him about 5 minutes later, yelling, "momma! Momma!" I decided I would just let him sit there. I thought, "he will go back to sleep, he usually does." Today was not one of those days. I would normally go get him after 20 minutes or so. However today I made the decision to let him stay in bed for the remainder of his nap time. 2 hours total. HE needs to rest weather he sleeps or not.

He talked and giggled and yelled the whole time. I was strong and let him rest in his bed for 2 hours. When He got up, he was refreshed and really giggly.

The rest of the afternoon, he ran around the house and laughed and laughed. It was so funny. It brought me great joy to be this laughing silly boys mom.

Now if I can just remember to be joyful when he's not so happy.
