Thursday
What a day. I woke up early this morning, about 5:30am I hopped in the shower for quick clean, and got ready for my day. I am staying with some friends. A homeschooling family with 7 kids. I enjoy this so much. I have so much to learn about being a mom, being a wife, and simply being a Catholic Christian. They are such a great example to me. I am so blessed to have them as friends while my hubby is in Iraq.
After I got ready I got some coffee and breakfast and sat down to spend a little time in prayer and reading. It was wonderful. I am re-reading "A mother rule of life." It is great.
When the rest of the bunch got up we did morning prayer. Read the daily readings and talk about the meditation. My husband called half way through all this. I talked to him for about 30 minutes. He gets to call a lot. Almost everyday. I feel almost like he's not really at war. I miss his company so much. He gets my humor and silly ways. he knows how to cheer me up and how to lovingly call me to greater holiness. Thank you God for my husband.
Around here they go to "town" on Thursdays. The kids do piano lessons, they go to singing lessons. They grocery shop and have youth group and any other things that need to be done out of the house. It is a full day. Today i went with them. I enjoyed it so much. I also got a new skirt for a friends wedding in a few weeks. yea! I also gave a talk on the beatitudes at the Jr. High youth group. I forget how much I enjoy youth ministry. It was so much fun.
Now I am trying to get tired enough to go to bed.
Lord, thank you for your love. For Creating us in your image and likeness. For calling us sons and daughters. I praise and worship you. I love you. Amen
